My Mom exuded style and sophisitication. Every outfit she wore matched, every outfit had a set of shoes to match. She never wore more than 3 colors together and inevitably one of those colors was always white. White went with everything and you could never go wrong wearing white. Clothes were more often than not dry cleaned even if they didn't require it, because wrinkles were not acceptable. Clothes were hung in the closet in color order on all white hangers, since they would match any outfit that needed to be hung.
